    3dhs 92" Edge 540

Thanks for this build log Gary as it will come in handy. This will be Aaron's new plane for 3D. Tearing everything outta the old AW Extra and doing this plane with his DA60 etc... might get new servos and sell the Savox 1256s though. They weren't bad but everything is HV now. May as well go...

    Crack Turbo Beaver proto

It's actually pretty laid back to build thankfully. We followed Chris' video pretty much. Unlike Chris, you might want to leave the wing not glued until the end after you have linkage on the tail surfaces all cntered up. Not a big deal but just requires a little more finesse. Super excited...

With any luck we'll be done this thing by the weekend! So excited for this plane! Maybe it was the wait... mounting the wing, gear, tail feathers and motor tonight. Setup tomorrow night!

I think Aaron's new fun plane will be the 3DHS 92" Edge. Yank the DA60 and the hardware out of that AW plane he was flying. Can't wait. Should work out nice!!!

    Trailers, Toy Haulers, Etc!

If you ever worry about the stabs banging on the walls of the trailer, you can cut a piece of foam swim noodle down the side and slip it over the end of the stab like a little bumper...

Which electrical connector do you prefer, and why?

Great to hear that coming from you. Like these connectors a lot as well. In your opinion, are the 8mm connectors good enough for an application like a 104"/100cc application? Would you go with 2 x 6S, 7S or 8S? ESC of choice? Sorry off topic with the batt and ESC thought but was...

Which electrical connector do you prefer, and why?

We had the 6mm Castle Connectors on our 70" Slick. Then, our friend Ralph liked the 5.5mm Jeti connectors for 70" plane so we tried them and liked them. Here are the 8mm connectors for up tp 300 amp draw... no spark. Anybody running with these...

    Da-120

So, how's this DA120 treatin' ya, Gary? We just got a 28x12 Mej after trying out the 29 x 10 Mej most of the season. Hoping to try it out this week and get a little more speed on the uplines.

That is great. Nice bright lighting. A lot of LEDs? Love the idea of keeping stabs on and love the shelf idea. We did the shelf as well. Our trailer is currently doing a 70, an 87, a 104 and room for another 100cc when a friend wants to fly with us.

Awesome! Azhar is a good guy. Talked to him a few times trying to figure out a deal I made with Spot On. Very happy for you! A nice reward for such a long trek. 13 hours is sayin' something about your dedication to get together and fly with everyone.

We would like to be amazed by these stories. Sounds fun. We had an old 51 slick hanging on the wall of our trailer once going to a field we never had been to. Found some not so well maintained railroad crossings along the way. Lets just say only the gear was on the wall when we...

+1 It is sooooo cool! All our planes are for the "real"pilot in the family basically and Dad wouldn't think of flying the extreme aerobatic machines but the CTB will be the family fun plane... Dad's finally going to learn some aerobatics!
