3D to iBEc or not to iBEc that is my question

Isn't it funny that once something is required, we justify not having it

3D to iBEc or not to iBEc that is my question

A kill switch isn't an item that I think is optional. I watched a guy circle a great planes reactor for almost 1/2 hr when his throttle servo went crap. Maybe it was more like 20 min, but still, too long.

Nice radio setup. I am going hard to get the fuse all done before I cover the wings. I am almost there too. Keep at it, yours is looking superb!

With raw plastics, you should wash with hot soapy water. Then scuff with a white or grey scotch brite pad lightly. Then use a wax and grease remover and finally, use an alcohol based cleaner. The alcohol acts as an anti-static as well as cleans.

There is a company that makes a tinted clear bomb can. It is intended for blacking out tail lights and turn signals. It is transparent. I have used it on some taillights in the past with good results. I will see if I have any left and take a picture of it

    Da100L 3blade setup

That's good to know. I might have to find out what your running on your da170 with the pipes. The 3 blade really takes a lot of the prop noise out. I think it would be beneficial to switch to a 3 blade on my sukhoi before my club asks me to.

Don't use the water based stuff. I heard it can warp the balsa. Who knows if it's true. I used the oil based stuff on the fuselage of my p47. I don't think I will use it again. The wings are a lot more durable

Ran the motor today. I got 6500 Rpms with no tuning and just a couple short full throttle blasts. Fuel proofed the motor box and a couple other little things here and there. I am still trying to get the cowl to fit just right.

    Da100L 3blade setup

So I ran this beast today. I got 6500 Rpms with a couple quick blasts. I was doing this by myself so I didn't hold wide open very long and I didn't do any tuning. I am pretty happy with those numbers just bolting on and trying. Sounds amazing with the pipes and prop.
