both sides are nearly done, you can see the 3 degrees built in rearward, the reason for this is for the spar to clear the retracted wheel. Now need to drill the 24 holes for the 3mm bolts 15871=10809-cx.jpg 15871=10810-cy.jpg 15871=10811-cz.jpg- Forgues-Research

Since the plans show only one side, and I need both sides to get things just right, I used an old trick, which you can see with the photos, by applying oil on the part you need reversed, the image shows through the other side , here I simply used oil I use for my lathe, but one could use...- Forgues-Research

one side of the main spar root done, this part is of upmost important to get right, from a few perspective, one, the whole weight of the airplane in the air on its retractable wheels, and two, it has to be of a precise angle. The stab/elevator is set aside while waiting for 1/64" plywood, so now will start on the main wing spars, a bit touchy to get it right, so will take my time, these are box spars to remove any tendency for the wing to twist... will try and post pictures later- Forgues-Research

The inserts in the flat bars have to be at a 3 degree angle, so I cut the angle on a piece of wood, and set it on the milling vise, and put the plate on it and drilled, it came perfect. 13014=6020-cf.jpg 13014=6021-cg.jpg 13014=6022-ch.jpg- Forgues-Research

The flat bars in the spars are 6061-T6 and the center section are 2024-T3 , where the bolts tie in the aluminum parts will all have stainless steel bushings, and the bolts are 5/16 Grade 8- Forgues-Research
