Sorry, it was just out of habit. I had just posted something on RCGroups and forgot to turn my self-censoring filter off. :megaroll:

How many years have you been in the hobby?

HAM? You mean AM? My friend AeroHeadTW just got a radio that requires a HAM license for one of his planes...

    3DHS 58" Edge 540

So if my flights don't look as good as yours, I can blame the color? I will keep that in mind! :)

My dad has some sheep on his farm in Sweden and some of them have the weirdest voices. It's hilarious, actually!

Good! I can't stress it enough: You do NOT want to fly the 41" Edge tail heavy! Other than that, she looks great! Best of luck to you. Looks like Saturday is going to be nice in our area. Ready for the maiden?

If the CG is behind the spar, I wouldn't fly it until you've corrected it. The 41" Edge gets EXTREMELY twitchy when tail heavy. Ask me how I know... You want it to just have a slight tendency to tip forward when you hang a thread around the spar. You'll have a struggle if you fly it tail heavy...

Did you solve the CG issue you mentioned on the other site?

    3DHS 58" Edge 540

I just need to stop by the LHS and get some screws for the motor mount and some servo lead extensions and she'll be ready. And weather for Saturday looks good. :tomcruise: And its yellow, meaning even more awesomeness!

If the weather isn't too bad I'm probably going. I don't know about Irg and his crew if that's what you're referring to. I may maiden my 58 edge. With the servos I bought from you. :)

No, I was a nobody back then, so no video for me. :) I saw your picture a while ago and realized I had seen you at the FLIE.

Been there, done that and its so true. I tried a cheaper and slightly heavier motor and could never get the GC quite right. With the Omega 72g its a piece of cake. Reminds me I should really glue up the motor box I damaged when trying to play with the cool kids last FLIE...

Well there you go! I think we all got the impression that they had closed the case. But that doesn't seem to be what happened. Best of luck to you and let us know if you find out anything interesting. I have a 58" Edge sitting here waiting for batteries and good weather, so I'd be interested in...

I hear you but... The reason I didn't reply is that I've learned the hard way to stay out of these types of discussions if I don't have all the details.

I know the feeling! I want to start working on that Extra that's somewhere between Texas and New Jersey now. You know you have about three weeks to finish that 106, right? :)

I had a swan come up to me when I was flying today. He spent two entire flights standing next to me. He seemed really interested. I think I can recruit him to the club!

Oh yes... I had to remove snow and dirt from the motor/ESC assembly several times. Still works great!
