Safety Third Lithium battery care tips thread
I have a question...I have always heard that if the battery starts to swell it's best to get rid of it but I see a lot of people that still charge and use them..A few of mine have swollen and other ones I bought about the same time have not..I charge them all the same since they are the same...- Mikeq

You're lucky someone saw smoke...had a club member pick a battery up out of a wreak and he didn't notice the wires had chafed or somehow lost insulation and when he grabbed it he got a pretty good burn on his hand and it happened in a millisecond...those A123s can really crank out some amps..- Mikeq
