    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

Just an FYI......When I was running my V1 DA120 I did the "breather tube" mod from the diaphragm plate to about 3mm from the choke butterfly. Maybe the pics are still on FG along with others that did this. Anyway... I thought the custom carb diaphragm covers was supposed to remedy the surging...

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

Flat Stabs lol. Tanner you funny . Went out flying yesterday with a new buddy and had a blast flying my QQ300 and his Slick 540 and MXS-R. Tuned up the DLE 60 twin for him on his MXS-R and saw it was a really smooth twin and a bit more powerful than I thought. Still want me another DA...

Don't listen to Rob! I will come and get it! Made a "Great Lakes, Ill. to Mobile, Al." run in 11 hours FLAT with a 72 Buick Le Sabre. Just give me some time to find another 72 Le Sabre! Plenty room in the back seat for that beast!:adore:

    New Spektrum Powersafe Receivers

Yes. I too have dumped a life long favorite and am really enjoying the midpoint DX8 G2. The BLS H50B servos work awesome with Spektrum! I also like how you can "dial in" each individual servo on their "servo set up" menu and have true 120 travel (60L + 60R) rotation even if you have very large...

Maybe too much paint on that one. Fixed. Other than that :msn_slap:..... did get the carb off the engine with out having to remove the engine. Reeds look good so anxiously awaiting for some rebuild therapy and a really high voltage unit :).

Post your servo, receiver, and battery setups

I have seen all ages mess around with a Lipo only to get burned. I have been using Lipos over NiCds for years since the chemistry was first introduced. I paid attention to the quality use and review articles over the years and have had no problems. A younger friend of mine just learned how to...

Very GOOD friends indeed David. That's what makes this site so AWESOME! Every one seems to get along in the "sandbox" :grouphug:. Not much going on in my shop. Getting ready to pull the DL50 for some carb repairs and hoping the new RcExcell ignition shows up Monday:). Will inspect the reeds and...

    Assembly: AJ Aircraft ARS300 104" 120cc!

Do you know if the 50cc version is similar in construction and completeness of the hinging? I am really liking this 120cc size though. Looking forward to your progress and reports!

Some times the best feeling in the world :joy: is knowing you helped a buddy get his plane running good and your ability to share with out bias :shake: is the best tool in your shop. Of course it helps when the equipment behaves as it should making you look good .

YS did actually build a twin 120 four stroke proto before releasing the original F-120 single. Used to have a picture of it from the old RCM magazine but long gone :ghost:.

Post your servo, receiver, and battery setups

Being that I am "new" to Spektrum I went with the AR8000 and 1 satellite since my Tx is 8ch and it came with the transmitter along with a cool "Atomic" radio case for a great price . No problems so far. And the single remote DSMX satellite Rx work great in my QQ300 and Rock Star park flyers...

Post your servo, receiver, and battery setups

I would think that helps current flow and reduce voltage drop. Like what you did. I did a similar "beef up" but two switches and two batteries for redundancy and further minimizing voltage drop (two heads better than one as they say lol). 6 amp toggles (vice stock 3 amp) and 18awg wire from the...

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

I got this Midland 720p HD camera. Kinda heavy though. Mounted it to the side of a head band strap of one of the "big eyes" magnifiers and it ended up falling off me noggin. They can be had now for about 30 bucks and video up to 90 minutes in HD. Of course I paid 3x as much when I got mine a few...
