    Aeroplusrc yak 55 50cc

A friend had the 50cc slick 540 that came with the XQ power servos from redwing. Plane flew awesome but the aileron servos allowed flutter. He continued to fly against my recommendation cause the flutter was not severe. Once he landed the slop in the gear train of both aileron servos was in...

    KCS 62cc Gas Engine.

Yes! Much much better.......Any serial numbers to compare to get an idea of how many engines that might have been made so far?

    Wheels!

I oiled the bushing well. I noted that the bronze bushing will press out fairly easily. And it is oilite bronze! You could soak the bushings in warm 30 weight for an hour to extend their use before having to break out the "zoom spout". Any way they do roll like they do have ball bearings!

    Wheels!

I had some older unused 3.5" Dubros that fit the rims. I used two 3/4" long 3mm hex screws to draw the hub down on the tire then installed 2 of the 4 supplied screws. Removed the longer hex screws and installed the remaining 2 supplied screws. Used Armorall to shine up the rubber.

    weird problem!

Guys I will let the "cat " out of the bag. lol He had drilled the crank case so he could turn the carb around. In doing so he was slightly off center on the new bore and alignment was an issue. He simply oversized the new bore a bit and the engine now runs fine.

    Wheels!

SAE measurement of 1/4" is close to 6mm (0.236in) but would have some slop. HMN.....I just steal your tires and leave your plane up on bricks:p.

    Wheels!

Guys.....What is the ID/OD and width (in mm) of the bearings in these high end wheels of the 4.5 and 5 inch diameters? The stock wheels that came with my EF 104 have :steamer: for bores for the axels. The axels themselves are 5mm and the bores 6mm. I have some old servo output gear bearings...

    Wheels!

I would be skeptical of the "hard rubber". The machined aluminum rims with that oilite bronze bushing is sweet. I look around the China market hobby suppliers and find some decent stuff but you have to look hard and determine if it is worthy. I made wheels for my 330sc with China rims and better...

Ok for those who may still be wanting to know which engines are affected: DA states it is engines 0001 through 0242.

It is a chilly 68 degrees inside now. Going to let it stay there to dry the house out good before it goes to 72. New system is very quiet. And of course cools/dehumidifies extremely well. Me Happy Camper now:)
