    Carden's have a great rep of being built "strong" Like brick:steamer:houses! I flew a friends 35% Carden Cap with a 3w120 and it weighed 34 pounds but flew like a feather!

    Not to worry. You did a great job building it now you get to do a great job repairing it!;). And don't feel bad either.....Most of my OOP's moments result in "I have a set of stabs for sale":laughing:. And come to think of it......I don't recall ever crashing with the tail first???

    My educated guess w/stock type in cowls would be 71/2 but I have never seen DA use fractional HP in the estimates they do give on other engines.

    Just waiting on a new set of reeds coming from DA. Oh.....And my A/C getting replaced:face-palm:. Once I have:cool:in the shop I will do the new reeds and get the exhaust done.

    Once upon a time I did run nothing but the DUBS. 85 twin 120 twin 150 twin 75 single. Hands down bad ass engines. Went through my learning curve with them and only destroyed 3 cylinders! lol

    Cool. How about the low needle? Just saying because if you fatten up the low a bit the high follows with that low needle setting.

    If your radio is equipped with a throttle "cut" it is easy to set as you are running the engine. Most throttle management features in our modern radios will not allow more than 30% of the total travel volume so no worry of going WOT as you make your set point on a switch. My 14sg actually has...

    Had a similar with a 35cent. Was 3/4 stick entering and dead stick leaving the attempted maneuver. Engine died when I throttled all the way down once in to the rotation. I'm pretty sure it died because I forgot to idle up after take off. Now I always idle up at the start of the take off roll...
