Giant Scale RC Why do this? Seriously??

WAS......... Same here. Your not alone.

    DLA Engines

On DA ignitions my guess is that they have a "fixed" value resistor on the input side of the circuit that is nominal to voltages between 4 and 8 volts dc instead of large input capacitors.

Call them and see or call the DLA rep. Sounds if he would be happy to answer your questions from what @stangflyer has said. @ChickenBalls IMO and knowing how Ohm's law addresses electrical matters.....I would be more concerned with lower voltage causing my ignition to run hot than with higher...

    DLA Engines

Just for FYI to all.....I have been running the 6volt version of the EME ignition with a 2 cell lipo for two years now and it does produce a noticeably hotter spark resulting in a 100 or so rpm gain. Engine runs a tad hotter too but not to the extent that any richening would be required. Kinda...

    Prop database.

That should suffice to annotate the thrust data. The actual thrust at 7200 has not been measured but would be insignificant for purposes of accuracy. I seriously doubt any gain in thrust could be accurately realized from only a 200 rpm gain.

    Prop database.

I would represent the thrust value with the associated rpm. The rpm value I supplied was "peak" for the ambient conditions I was in at the time and could be misleading. The 7200 was that peak value. The thrust was measured at 7000rpm. I always rich the high needle a couple hundred rpm after...

What voltage are you running your ignition at? If you step up the voltage or are able to then the NGK should work fine. Iridium plugs will have a hotter spark at the same voltage as with standard plugs. NGK has iridium plugs too but I do not know if the CM-6 is available yet as an iridium.

For the EME 60 and Mejzlik 24x8th I measured 34.5 pounds thrust @7000rpm

That is a very good idea. Value is very subjective.

    IMAC hobby getting expensive

I simply look at how depreciation affects the overall length of time that a plane or product may or may not have. Risk is a much higher consideration when I purchase now. And not just because of skill or budget. Many other risk factors to consider now with regulation being imposed at much...

    Pilot 30% Edge 540. Who's Flying it!?

I tested 5 of the RCCSKJ boards and all 5 failed. 3 of them where the ignition cut off as stated. The other 2 would not properly regulate voltage under load.

I just submitted some info on the EME 60 and Mejzlik 24x8th carbon. The end WOT value would benefit if it had a thrust measurement to follow with it. I personally like knowing how much thrust I can expect from an engine and prop combo. Thank you sir for starting the data base.
