New products @ Tail Dragger Rc

Don't suppose I can talk you into swinging by to pick me up huh? I mean, I would really not take up much room. And I could actually clean your planes for you while you drive. LOL..... Have lots of fun Chris. Fly your heart out. But above all else....be safe.

    3D Restoring The Yak

They definitely are smooth. And from what I have seen with my sons 222, it is a completely different power altogether. I highly doubt the 3w is going to be any different. The times I have flown my sons big Edge with his 222, it seems the power is just "ALWAYS" there. It should be lots of fun...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I can appreciate that feeling. I still get a little jittery when I take mine up. I think it's because there is so much personal connection. I know I'm going to be an absolute wreck when the Yak maiden day gets here.

    3D Restoring The Yak

Should be sometime this month. I really need to spend some time with the Dalton while I'm waiting for exhaust. So I'll probably be working on that this weekend.

Did a little work on the Yak this afternoon. Think I'm taking a break tomorrow to go burn some gas. Well, maybe you should limit the volitle fuel. :lol2:

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

All I can say is, you better share if you win. It would just be sick and wrong for you to be flying by your lonesome.:yesss: Forecast for tomorrow is: very mild and 69 degrees. I knew I liked that number! Guess I'm just gonna have to take a certain Purple Edge out on a date.:woohoo!:

It's really not green fuel line. Yellow tygon slipped inside the green snakeskin the wires are loomed through. Had ya fooled huh??

    3D Restoring The Yak

I may have not succeeded with the exhaust yesterday. But I refuse to be beaten. I'll get it figured out in due time. I may go with the 1090's. I may go stock J&A's. I'm determined to get this girl airborne. On a more positive note, I spent the afternoon with my favorite Red...

    3D Restoring The Yak

Video of the 3w 212 powered Yak. Sure wish it had turned out better. Although the motor runs well and quiet...the exhaust is just not open enough to create the power the 212 can offer. Plus, with it not breathing correctly, it has a tendency to want to die when coming off full power down to...

    3D Restoring The Yak

No...dang guy in Northern Idaho must have changed his mind. I built my own custom exhaust. Got a video coming. But till then, I'm pleased with the 212. Bone dry with both chokes on...14 flips. Bark! Chokes off, 7 flips. Each restart after 10 to 15 minute waits, no choke three flips faithfully...

    3D Restoring The Yak

It's time to find out if all this work and research is going to pay off. Fingers, toes, arms, legs, eyes and tounge crossed. :spongebob:

    3D Restoring The Yak

So I now have the throttle servo in place and set up. I really don't think I've ever had a linkage as linear as this one. With each little incremental movement of the gas pedal stick, the linkage on the twin Tillotson carbs kept perfect time and equal movement. Now with the test exhaust...
