9 days??? Yeah ok. All I gots to say is, prove it. Lol. I think David and I will start placing bets with our bookies. Ya know??? You just might make us rich. Lol. If I'd know it was this easy to get you excited, I'd have kept the Red Head a secret. Ah but heck, you get excited over blondes and...

    3D Restoring The Yak

Thanks everyone. I really wanted to duplicate "exactly" what Tony had Pilot do with the scheme. It's kind of odd though. I don't know if they made a revision from this early airframe to the more later airframes or just what. I am finding a size difference in some things. Such as, Stabs/Elevators...

    3D Restoring The Yak

It's 2:30 in the morning here in icky weather villa I-da-hoe. Although I really wanted to break down this project into sections, it's just not working out that way. I am having to attack whatever I can with the time I have available. I got the right stab and elevator covered now...

Yup, pretty predictable. Absolutely no unexpected bad habits. And yes, very breezy that day. Was fun though. Wait till you get yours up on a calm day. The wind surfing is great fun. But on a day with less wind, you'll have so much fun, you will just hate having to call it a day.:way_to_go:

Oh my...what a maroon am I!! Someone tell my boss I can't work outta town any longer. Starting to lose my ability to think. Negative on the single aileron servo configuration. Two per aileron, one per elevator half, two rudder, one gas pedal. Total of 9. I didn't want to take a chance with...

Peak Models 32% Extra 330 SC

Holy dancing :dancing-poop: Kelly. Those are some amazing numbers on the servos. I would be seriously interested in giving them a shot. First: where do I acquire such servos? Second: what is the cost per servo? I may look at these for the big Yak. Toss me some info there pal.:way_to_go:

Well it's about time. You are going to love the 107 incher. When you say you are going to do six servos, is this including the throttle? Reason I ask is I ran as you know, seven on mine. Throttle, two aileron, two elevator, two rudder. I am glad I did. For the extra 2 ounces in the tail, you...

    Ordered my Su-26

For what it is worth, and just my opinion. Drill the motor mount. I've had to drill a number of them and I've had no problems. The amount you take away from the motor mount will never impede the structural integrity of the mount itself. The upside is that it is much easier to find or obtain...

Are you going to register with the FAA? Cast Your Vote!

This rule was set forth by the FAA and pretty much says it all. Am I reading it incorrectly?

Altitude: how it affects fuel/air ratio

Just my thoughts of what I have experienced. I live at an altitude of about 2400 or so feet. Been to Wenatchee and Richland Washington both with basically the same set ups on different planes. Difference of altitude of about 1700 feet. Also been down to Utah to fly. Difference of altitude of...

Are you going to register with the FAA? Cast Your Vote!

Have to agree with ya there brother. If the government can make a buck, they are going to find a way to bend you over for it. Seriously folks...I do fully understand what the FAA is "saying" this registration is for. And I do get "it" why it's being done. But truth be known, it is just another...
