Does a tuned pipe reduce noise?

I could have made you a package deal and included the airframe. Shipping would have been cheap since it would fit is such a small box. 7153=2756-0513121333.jpg

Does a tuned pipe reduce noise?

I'll make you a heck of a deal on a header for a DA50 and a KS1060 pipe. It's a few inches shorter than it used to be, but I think it will buff out.:wink-new: 7063=2725-Header pipe.jpg

Yeah, you were there with Pawnshopmike. It was good to meet you guys.

    Knife edge spin.

Oh I quit jambing the sticks in the corner as soon as it quit working. The most annoying thing is when it does one spin and pops out of it. Last week I had some luck with just rudder and elevator. I know there is a good combination, I just haven't figured it out yet.

Does a tuned pipe reduce noise?

I've run two different DA50's with KS 1060 tuned pipes. I ran both Mejzlik and Falcon carbon fiber 23 X 8 props. The pipes added about 300rpm and they were fairly quiet.

    Knife edge spin.

This is something that has been driving me crazy lately. My Pilot 50cc Edge used to be super easy to get to knife edge spin. Just climb, do a stall turn at the top, and jamb both sticks in the top left corners and instant knife edge spin. Then I moved the CG just slightly forward and now it's...

A big hand for Sleepy and Nick

Looks great, one comment on swag, when you do T-shirts, try and get some that a real man can fit in. Those tiny 2x shirts are for girly men and children.:smile-new:

    Lets See Your Foamy's

Been there, done that. And to go back to a shell would screw up hauling my gassers, and we can't have that. I'm planning on getting a roll up cover since I now have an Align T-rex 550 to get to the field. The Crack Pitts will see more airtime then.

    Lets See Your Foamy's

Mike, I think you've seen my old S-10 shop truck that I drive. Hauling a foamie with no bed cover or in that tiny cab is a pain in the butt. It's easier to take my gassers flying. And my backyard is all trees. So, it hangs on the wall at home.

Aerotech 55% extra 260 SORT OF BUILD THREAD ???

I resemble that remark! As to why the helicopter, it's just one of those unfinished things from when I started flying back in the 80's. I had one back then and never got passed the hovering stage. Since then I've always wanted to really be able to fly one and I figured I'd better do it...

Aerotech 55% extra 260 SORT OF BUILD THREAD ???

Looking good Dr. E. You and Terry are two of the guys that got me interested in building again, so I always love to see what you two come up with next. I guess when I get back on my project I'll do a "Sort of" build thread here on GSN. There has been some odd mechanical contraption...

    Lets See Your Foamy's

Here is my only foamie, a Crack Pitts. I've had it for two years and have put about a half dozen flights on it. I built it for our clubs weekly indoor that got canceled the week I finished it. 5776=2092-0117132032aa.jpg

    GP 61 -Discussion thread

Lorne, thanks for the interest, and normally I would agree with you on high needle being that far in, but that is what it seemed to need. When it was new it wouldn't even start at the factory 1.5 out needle settings. It would pop on the choke, but that was all. I slowly richend the low...

    GP 61 -Discussion thread

It 1 1/4 may sound lean, but I can assure you in reality on my engine it certainly is not. It still sounds rich in the air and the plug verifies that. When I stated that "it runs good there" I meant reliable idle, good transition and good performance. After it gets some more fuel through it I...

    Old time Fav Slime Plane!

I had a friend and his son down from the Detroit area the other day and they brought an 35cc airplane with them. It's their first gasser and the son wanted to borrow a screwdriver to tune on it. I lent him one, but after a while I could see he wasn't getting it so I went over and told him what...
