3D Fibertech Hyperlite Slick.....sort of build thread.

Pretty soon were going to have to start timing Terry's builds in hours if he gets any faster. I can see it now, draw up a plan, laser cut, build, cover, fly. All at Joe Nall.

I have a DA50 that also has some odd ball settings. One day I noticed that carb had a lot more fuel around it than it should so I swapped it and the reed block assembly for a spare that I had. Turned out that I had to adjust the new carb to the same oddball settings as the first one to get it to...

    Helicopter Simulator

What are you guys using for a sim? What helicopter do you use and consider to fly realistically?

    2-stroke oil,what works,what doesn't

Oooh, an oil thread, my favorite! RedLine for me.

    Which prop for DA-50

I like the 23 x 8 Falcon carbon fiber on my DA50's. I've also run the Mejzlik 23 x 8, but the Falcon is 1.2 ounces lighter and spools up faster.

    Old time Fav Slime Plane!

This Bridi UFO with a very old custom ported O.S.60, Mac's tuned pipe and Rhom Air retracts gets an honorable mention as my favorite. It was the last glow airplane I flew before switching to gas. 4415=1749-Maiden_Day.jpg

Nebwake, I just checked the needles on my GP61. The low is at 2 1/4 and the high is 1 1/4. That's a long way off from stock, but it runs good there.

    GP 61 -Discussion thread

Sorry, but at this point I really don't know. If I check them I'll post the settings. If I had to guess, I would say the low is pushing 2 and the high close to the stock 1.5. Like I said in my earlier post the most I could get out of mine was a pop on the choke when the low needle was at...

    GP 61 -Discussion thread

Mine hasn't settled into any kind of routine. The first time I ever started it with the factory needle settings I could get it to pop on the choke, but it was way too lean to run. I had to richen the low side several times before it would idle and transition. The first day at the field with it...

    Old time Fav Slime Plane!

Favorite to fly was a Curare I still have even though it hasn't flown in 15 years. My favorite glow airplane in general was a Great Planes Cosmic Wind with an OS120 four stroke. 3689=1576-photo-4.jpg 3689=1577-photo-5.jpg 3689=1578-a4380957-221-Curare.jpg

I put a GP61 in place of a 9 year old DA50 in a Carf 2.3 meter Extra 330L. The power has been great considering it's pulling a 21.75 pound airplane. I've got 9 flights on it so far and apart from getting the first start of the day technique figured out it runs great. The majority of the...

    Helis!

Yeah the first time I saw one of the guys at our field that can really fly, 3D a SAB Goblin 700, it just looked like the helicopter should destroy itself. The sound is awesome! I tried to shoot a video of it once and it was just a waste of time, I couldn't keep up.

    Helis!

A friend that I used to fly with at another club came by the shop one day and showed me his new T-Rex 700. I went out to the old club and watched him one day and I was hooked. I haven't flown a heli since a MiniBoy back in 1985, but I've been wearing out my sim flying heli's ever since seeing...

3D Fibertech Hyperlite Slick.....sort of build thread.

When I grow up I want to be able to cover as good as Terry. I'm already older than him, just not grown up.:) Great work as always.
