The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Yup...already in the process. I failed miserably this year in getting things put together so I could attend some events. But not making the same mistake twice.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Wish I could be there with you guys at "Huck-O-Ween". But definitely already geared up for Richland Huckfest in three weeks. After I flew this morning...which wasn't all that fantastic....(will get back that in a moment), I stopped in to the only remaining LHS here in the valley. Picked up my...

Ah to heck with it. Don't even bother going in. I say, "Carpe diem"! Just go fly all day. It's ok, (You know you want to) :devil-dance: 7:45 here...had my coffee, OJ, one egg and toast. Big Purple Brother is loaded...time to hook the hooptie hauler and head for the strip. :banana-dance:

    Smoke systems

I bought some Bisson smoke injectors to try on my system. Like @thepamster, my son and I like the planes to hide in the smoke. His 222 powered Edge smokes really good but hardly a mess at all. Maybe I need to get some pointers from the kid.

How much expo for maiden flight

Way to go!!! Good on ya.... glad to hear all went well. Now that the jitters of the Maiden are over and the weight is off the shoulders, go huck that thing like there is no tomorrow. LOL....Oh wait.... belay that last suggestion. For me, the maiden is not the problem. I usually am in pretty top...

    Smoke systems

Here are a few from my 100cc Pilot Edge. I mounted matching TDRC 32 oz. tanks side by side. Looking from the rear of the plane forward, the smoke tank is on the right. Plumbing is pretty straight forward. Fill dot on the right side of the fuse. Sullivan Skywriter mid-ship behind the wing tube...

    pull pull or push pull

I have both. Pull/Pull on my 40% 260 and it seems to do just fine. However it just doesn't "feel" the same as my other big birds with Push/Pull. I will admit, there is occasional maintenance on it from time to time. If I could convert it, I would. Unfortunately, the fuse was just not designed...

    Pilot 37% 107" Edge 4 Banger

Better get after it. Don't wait for next year. Jus.....dooooo it!!! Btw, it's pretty hard to mess up the CG on this plane. Other than building a wooden stand off to mount the 111, (cuz I cut the motor box back for the 128-4) I really didn't change anything. I like just a tick tail heavy and man...
