    So what we did not see in the two following flights after the maiden is the two down to the deck high alpha harries with smoke "BOILING" off the bottom side of the plane as I dipped her down to within about 15 feet at a 45% nose up alpha. Is that low enough with a new unproven airframe/motor...

    I've really been wanting a 35% Yak 54. Almost bought one before the Purple Brother. Hmmm, I do have an extra new 111, and rx., and Opto-Kill and SF, and batteries and servos and prop, and spinner....(Oh yeah, won't need one with a Pilot)....Hell, I might just as well get one. I gots ever-stuff...

    So far I am quite pleased with it. After the first three flights, I figured I would pull the cowl and double check everything. I don't have a good picture of the baffling, but can get one and post it. Basically, I just outlined the cylinders on both sides of the motor and cut a plate with that...

    The 128 has plenty of pull. It is spinning the same size prop as my DLE 111 at just shy of the same rpm static as the 111. But it has a ton more torque. And sooo much smoother. As for tuning, it was pretty easy. Just have to make certain both throttle plates on the carbs are synced. And of...
