Question of the Day. If you won a DA 70 Twin, what would you put it in?

That's what I'm running in my AJ Laser 93. Awesome plane!

    Prop bolts....what's the consensus?

Does the use of Nord washer effect the torquing of the bolts? One would think having the over lapping teeth it would effect the torque reading.

Added a lip to the opening to the pipe tunnel of my 93 Laser to help create low pressure. Made it out of tri-stock and covered it with some left over yellow cover. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    HS-7954 alternatives

I'm 99% sure the 7955 has the same torque specs as the 7954 which is right around 400 oz/in on 7.4v.

    HS-7954 alternatives

You are correct. MKS and Savox use 25T Futaba splines. Hitec is 24T except for the HS-8xxx or HSB-9xxx series servos which use 25T.

    Throttle weirdness

Glad you found the issue! I run an RX batt in all plane 70in larger. I've had 1 too many BEC failures and a plane that size can handle the extra weight.

    Throttle weirdness

I've seen problems with the BEC wired to both packs in series but I think Jetpainter might be on to something with the most obvious issue of 8s on a 6s max esc.

    Throttle weirdness

Are you running 4s battery packs in series? If so, how is your BEC wired?

    HS-7954 alternatives

If you are looking to stay Hitec the HS-7955 is a great servo with titanium gear. Savox SV-1270TG is great servo for that size air frame and comes in with a bit more torque at about 487. I have run the 7954, 7955, the Savox in that size air frame with great success. I don't think you could go...

I did a little non-plane work in the shop today. Setting up a sissy bar on my new ride come to find out the factory installed the shock upside down.

    No limitz spinners

When I get out to a field I go to SMMAC in Owatonna. It's kind of a drive. I live on acreage so my neighbor and I do a lot of flying right outside our houses.
