    I love classic pattern thread

Hey @Jetpainter , To answer your question, the next kit I want to get is a CCK Bootlegger and put my OS61VF in it. I also want to get my hands on one of Leo's T2A kits. I have always loved the lines on that airplane from way back when I started following Classic Pattern forums. I have a very...

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

Hey Doug, Let's take this to the "Everything Else" Thread. I don't want to pollute @Bipeguy03 's AWESOME Build Thread

Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

Don't discount that idea quite so quickly, Rob. My Buddy who is building the same Pitts is doing just that. He has been building planes since the 70's and he could not get the canopy to conform and stay attached to the turtle deck so his Pitts will have an open cockpit with a windshield up...

Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

Hey Rob, I think this should have been added to your post; "This option is only available for those of us who are unmarried. If you are married, try this at your own risk.". I hope you don't have the same issues with your canopy that others have had. @Wacobipe can fill you in...

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

It is NEVER to late to start thinking about "future" projects, especially if parts are hard to come by. I'm collecting engines for a couple of "future" pattern planes as I type this and I haven't even bought the kits yet. . . . . .:big-grin: Your Krier Kraft is looking AWESOME ! ! ! . . . ...

    Sport 50CC AMR STICK THREAD

Oh well, Mother Nature didn't allow me any Stick building time this weekend, but I'm looking forward to some quality build time tomorrow night. Hopefully I can get the first wing half wrapped up, or close to it. I will have an update Tuesday.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Yes it is. People like you are what makes this hobby so incredible. I have never been to another flying field where I didn't see someone helping out another flyer when needed. Makes me proud to say I am apart of this great hobby.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

There is nothing I like more than teaching others about this awesome hobby, especially the kids. It's like everything else, they are the future of this hobby. . . .:yesss:

That's AWESOME Buddy5303. The only regret I have about this great hobby is not getting into it until I was in my late 30's.

IMAC Double Build, Carden Pro 124" Extra 300 40%

Oh my, I'm sorry I asked. I don't know what it would be like to have something like that happen to me.. . . . :ugh: You're making great progress on your two Carden's Cam. Keep up the great work. . . . . .:big_yes:

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

Hey Roger, Your Dalotel is looking AWESOME. . . . . :big_yes:. Seeing your monster Dalotel makes me wish I could fly my little one. I think I've only flown it one time all year because of strut issues and no free time to fix them. Hopefully I can get them fixed over the winter so I can run a...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I was right for a change. Matthew is preventing any flying around here. We got over a foot of rain yesterday and quite a bit of wind, but it was nothing like what our fellow flyers got down in Florida and South Carolina. I hope everyone down there is doing OK considering what they went through.

I doubt the weather is going to let me do any stick flying this weekend, but that means hopefully I'll get more Stick building time instead. Pun intended. . . . .

Yes, FINALLY ! ! ! ! . . . . . . :laughing:It felt good to have the time to work on it again. More to come soon, I promise.:yesss: Thanks Paul, I was REALLY sweating it for a while though. I guess it pays to be lucky every once and a while.:big_yes: Hey Josh, Thanks for the quick update...

    Scale Curtiss XP-55 Ascender

I wish someone made a battery checker like those that would put a small load on the battery to see if the battery will handle it without failing. I have the Futaba battery checker and it does everything but this and it showed good voltage on all three cells on one of my 2200 mAh 3S packs. The...

No worries @Bipeguy03, You're allowed a few breaks along the way, which is a good thing because if not, they would have shut down my AMR Stick Thread and my Laser thread for a lack of progress a LONG LONG time ago. . . . ..

    Sport 50CC AMR STICK THREAD

Thanks @pawnshopmike, I appreciate the positive comments. Here is the frame that goes around the aileron servo pocket. You can see where it is keyed into the ribs so there is no way a dummy like me could possibly put it in incorrectly, which by the way, is a good thing. . . . . :laughing...

    Sport 50CC AMR STICK THREAD

Hey @Joshet89, I noticed in your wing pictures you only had sheer webs on one side of the front main spar. Did you only get 12 WSW2's in your kit too? The reason I ask is that in my instruction book on steps 134 and 135 (I think), the pictures clearly show and call for sheer webs on the...

    Sport 50CC AMR STICK THREAD

OK story time is over, lets continue. You can see in this picture that I flipped the wing over and glued in the top front main spar and the stringer at the front of the fib spacer. Yes there is a gap you can see here, but unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it at this point. I...
