I got a lucky break this afternoon and finished installing the servos! I even had a chance to put 3 flights on it this evening, and I gotta say, this servos snap to attention quite nicely! [emoji1] I'm lovin it!

Thanks to @mnfatboy I'm all set with 7954's. Thanks man! I'm trying to find time to install them after work, but not pushing it. I'm setting them up according to some instructions Joe Smith gave on "the other site". Trying to get my geometry and throw all equal throughout the arc. I've also...

Whoa! 21x8 sounds like a lot of prop! I'm liking the falcon 20x9. 20x8 had better spool up but it seems the 20x9 has a bit better pull.

Aeroworks 60cc Extra 260 Freestyle Build Thread

That should do it! 80° of throw would pretty much rip things apart at full speed deflection I bet. I'm running an SWB offset arm in my 30cc version of the same plane.

I'm leaning towards 7954's for their extra bump in speed. Plus I can get a better quantity discount on them too.

Thanks for the clarification. I was almost sure that I'd seen them in a HV application but figured I must be wrong. @ChickenBalls do you know the HV torque/speed specs in those?

One thing I just noticed is that the 7955 is not a HV servo. This surprises me a bit but....

Thanks for the suggestions guys. The way I understand it, the Savox and MKS have a different number of splines on the output shaft. I may stick with Hitec to keep the same SWB arm.

I have been putting a few flights on mine now and then, maybe an average of 8-10 per month and I've been happy with the eu it's been running. I put bowman rings in it from the start and have been running Stihl Ultra HP. I'm going to estimate I have probably 90-100 flights on it. My question...

Good evening to all! I've been going over my AW Freestyle 260 30cc and considering doing a rudder servo update. I'm running a 5585 in it now, but I'm considering a 7954. It gets pretty hard use and I'm running a 2s lips setup so I need high voltage. Is there a different servo I should consider...

It's an awesome plane. Air and Space magazine did an article on one of those a few years ago, and it's quite an engine.

Guys I finally got around to putting a set of Jtecs on my engine that Kevin sent me a week ago and boys, let me tell you, it gives that little engine a manly sound! [emoji1]It is an awesome addition to this engine as they have nearly twice the volume so they are quieter. More than just the noise...
