Yup. Snow showers are blowing through today. Crazy.

I know. I don't want the extra weight, but it was needed for balance. Shoot, I could leave one of them unhooked and still fly all week.

Nope. Put the wings on with my string around the wingtube. Also tried with my fingers under the wings at the recommended 4 1/8" to 4 5/8" and still a bit tail heavy. Not sure if the manual is 100% correct or not. I will find out when I fly it how the balance is. It is snowing here right now...

For balance I put 2 5200 Fromeco Li-ions in the motor box. That made it still a touch tail heavy hanging from the wingtube. I will adjust after flying. I was hoping to put 2 2600's in the plane, but they did not balance correctly.

I was able to finish everything up last night. I finished the baffling and cooling holes. Added a choke rod and mounted the aileron servo plugs.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I finished the baffling and cooling on my 74" EF Edge. It has a VVRC 40 twin.

What is the max number of channels generally needed for giant scale?

9 channels for 120cc and lower. 4 ailerons, 2 elevator, 1 rudder, throttle, and kill. Get the powersafe rx and it is a super simple setup.

Plane Stand Pro - fuselage stand.

Pipe insulation would work great. I have some of that laying around, so I will try it. I was setting up aileron linkages in that pic, and it worked great.

The left side might be a little tight with the straight plug version. I have about 1/2" with the plug cap on.

I did have to do that. Glad I wasn't the only one who had to do that.

    EF Edge 74"

I did this with my kill switch light on my last build and liked it so much I thought I would do it here also. It works great and is nice and clean.
