    They are expensive. Good planes though. They tend to be more slow and low and do not lean as much to the "xa" style. Slow and low in close in, the addiction looks like fun. Gotta have one someday. I thought maybe the price might be more realistic over there.

    I will measure it up tomorrow. They look really big for this plane. The issue with gear for this one is the narrow flat at the top.

    Thanks dog! Big step up for sure. Tbe 306b is a nice unit. I almost went that route myself. In the end I went budget, at least for now. I am super happy with this setup. It was a fun project. The thing that swayed me was computer connectivity and being able to connect 2 units together...

    Does anyone know of some decent landing gear for the Yak? I believe the base is 3.5" I found a set but $50 seems a tad steep, but it may be made to order. I have a set of aluminum gear but it is way too wide at the base. I may need to cut and weld it. I may even do a budget electric setup...

All the "good"(iCharger and Revolectrix) chargers that show up just are not a good enough deal to justify not buying new. I would have had a good deal on a powerlab had the poster responded...

    I picked up a 1/4 electric driver from Snap-On. Clutch goes to down to almost nothing. I never thought it would be so usefull on planes, let alone around the house. Very small with a "rocker" trigger for forward/reverse.

    Hey! Just do some 1/4" balsa with some thin 1/4 carbon on both sides. Makes a super strong spar. Shipping would be cheap. You coukd use carbon tow and epoxy too.

    Great job on the rebuild! I have always loved rebuilds and building in general. I never got really good at covering. That has always been my holdup. The day will come when I will really take the time to learn it.
