    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

Precision Aerobatics Katana MX looks pretty cool too. A bit pricey. The Addiction xl looks like a hoot as well. A little more omph to the flight than its predeccesors. I am suprised tbe pa stuff is not more popular. This is a great help getting first hand input on all these airframes.

How do these compare to the Extreme flight planes? What does the 59" Slick do different?

I here Extreme Flight alone has 5 new ones in the pipe. Decided to jump on a little 42 slick as I have the gear. Nope! Sold out after I went back to the website. That make about 6 that were gone when i made up my mind. Might have to wait until toledo.

Awesome. To be honest I have not kept up on the edge. Looks promising. That would be close to the perfect plane in theory. No disrespect just a quick look I took this morning. The Velox looks good!

I have been thinking the same thing. I may just build an new indoor plane and wait. There just is not anything in my price that is calling to me. It is really snowy right now or I would feel different.

Just saw the video. I have noticed on the small gas conversions they seem to be more sport aerobatic? Is that due to the weight or the "power band" of the smaller engines?

The big mxs is 78" electric if my memory serves me correct? I am still learning rollers. So that is a plus too! I have been slacking on practicing them. Here is the sad thing, I had a 60" extra and sold it. I was nervous about landing it here at home. Now I kind of laugh at myself...

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

Hmmm. Great info. I was under the impression that the MXS was the more High speed plane the Edge was the super stable in harrier and the laser had built on both and was best all around? I also always hear how the Extra is the smooth line carving one. Then I see the extra in videos doing...

Has anyone flown the Katana MX from PA? Local guy is sponored so he is pushing me that way. Good looking plane though.

Thanks for the input on that! Yes, I have to say I enjoy the corners as well. Sounds like maybe the laser is the way to go. I do like the MXS as well, heck I dig all of them from EF and have flown none. Now the 3DHS 74 edge looks great. I do want something that is decent in harrier so I can...

They are all sweet! A local guy has a 70" EF extra I may take a look at. The price is good, set up electric and it is bind and fly. I am hoping to go look at it the beginning of the week if we can get our schedules to work. If not I just may do a laser or Extra 60"

your thread is motivating me to build! I have a balsa prop jet I may finally get to. I might have to do another 3d profile, even if its a smaller one. I am pretty much snowed in! Ok it is not that bad, but it has limited the outdoor flying as of today.

    New Models

Things I would love to see that (I think) would sell. Profiles brought up to the light and floaty pro bro standards. A solid 20cc 3d plane would be just awesome. Why not toss scale right out the window? Make something based on pure performance? A really good floaty 3d plane with tons of...

    3DHS Planes Picture Thread

I think I have glued my fingers to airplanes, people, and the dog (furry finger). Got glue on kitchen counter top and the nice solid oak dining room table. Among other places :veryshocked: Thank goodness for finger nail polish remover. It is much kinder to wood finish than straight acetone...

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

I have been looking into doing a 60" electric or 30cc size Gasser for a few weeks now. My rc budget has been weak lately and I finally saved up for an air frame. I am so surprised by how fast air frame sell out or just have not been available for months. It is winter in Michigan and i am in...

What models in Phoenix do you use for 3D practice?

That was easy. I thought it could only be done in real flight. Now maybe I can learn to do more than 6 rollers without losing rhythm.
