Maneuver name? I do it but don't remember the name. Low pass, high energy. Pull up to 45-60 degrees right into a KE fly over back down the other side to same altitude and roll to level. In think Joe started it. I want to say "wahoo"??? Was going to add to 3D Pedia but forgot the name.

It's always nice to post what you install and the performance you get from it. Good luck. I've asked ghoffman to offer his 2 cents on the subject.

    35CC 3D Plane

I like the Tech aero ibec - pm me. I'm no expert on setups. I just know what myself and others up here do. It's simple, reliable and redundant with the wolverine and 2 2s 1800-2200. I don't notice a wt issue with the 2200s. I'll leave the other setups to the rest. ghoffman may be able to...

Don't over complicate this. Servo power- decide, 2s= HV, redundancy- decide- yes- 2 batts w "smart" switch or "safe" Rx (2 power inputs). Ignition I like an ibec and a Tx shutoff run with Servo power. You don't need a separate ignition batt. IM(and others)O.

As I understand it the wolverine is only "pacing" the 2 batteries. I don't think it regulates the voltage at all. The ibec will regulate you ignition voltage.

    35CC 3D Plane

I run 2 1800 2s or 2200 2s through a wolverine switch and ibec on my EF 78 with DLE 35 RA. No problems at all. Balances fine and it gives me redundancy. 1800s give 3-5 flights, 2200s 4-5.

Well I have the 78, first gasser. 25% used to be giant scale, not so much anymore. I am looking for an "all purpose" 50cc-100cc that I can transport! For IMAC, XA and 3D. This looks like (if SFGs are removable and it's in the 10%) the ticket. So many good airframes coming out in the 30-100cc...

Clear skies, smooth roads and good mileage my friend! Have a blast. Can't wait to hear all about it. Hope Pats back feels OK as well.

+1! Sounds like OMP could use a lesson from several of the vendors here! Glad you worked it out hopper.

IMAC learning and support using flight videos

Thanks man. It was nice to have two of our older members there helping me do it. I really want them both to do at least one competition this year. I help Ted and Cody do the Plum Island IMAC. That's my goal. The scratch builder has two 30cc Sukhois, a 26 and 29. They would be a treat to see on...

IMAC learning and support using flight videos

Thanks. Fortunately since I don't have a lot of editing time we did that in one take. It was a good test of the "script" idea since I hadn't done the basic yet this year! That was actually a "tight" IMAC sequence. The 40% planes will use twice or more of that airspace. I think some spread it...

Yes, don't worry about weight. You're probably at close to 2:1 thrust to wt anyway! You don't have to bring it into orbit!!!

To add another twist. I use a wolverine, either 2- 1800 2s or 2-2200 2s and an ibec on my EF 78. Works great and has redundancy. ghoffman is using regulated 3s packs now to maintain power throughout the entire flight. 2s at 60% or less start losing punch to HV setups. I'll probably do that on...
