That is funny. I know the glue you speak of. I have seen it on many of the entry level planes I have purchased in the past. Looks like 2% watery milk meets watered down Elmer's school glue. The stuff dries hard as a rock, and I often wondered exactly what kind of glue it really is.- AKfreak

I you are looking for a plane to grab and go a little 48" plane (Extra, Edge, Slick, Ect.) would be perfect. Any of them are good from EF, 3DHS, RedWing, Piot, PAU, AeroPlus. Cant you move one pack behind the tube, and slide the other forward to even the load. As to the prop, those heavy gas props have to be hard on the motor right. I love the Falcon Beech wood props for electrics. They are nice and light, and make tons of thrust. Remember if you go over the 20X8...- AKfreak

I have many electrics and plan to fly the gas planes when the electric are charging. I have 8 packs for my 12S setup, this gives me for 7 mins flights, and when the packs are flown off, I am standing there waiting. I charge all my packs at 1C so they take a while. Depending on the gyro, it can be used as a wind canceler. I hear that people say gyros are cheating, I disagree. Gyros are the future of RC fixed wing aircraft. I would mill the standoff so it has flat sides to fit the motor box. It will still hold the motor square to the motor box, without modifying the airframe.
