I’m going out flying thread 2019

Sounds like you are into planes, welcome to the club. My sister lived in Rapid City for a while, Fun state, her husband did roofing over there, he said once in a rare moon hed be working shirtless and then within minutes it would drop 50 degrees... I thought he was yanking my chain, but it's...

Top Flite RTC Giant Scale P40/Roto 85 FSI

:lol2: Let me know if he bails on you. I feel like I'd be stupid to say no at what you listed it for... I would have had to beat three planes into the ground before it showed up so my wonder woman wife doesn't kill me if I did get it.:msn_slap: Only reason I hesitated HA!!

It's a .50 size, 20cc is out of the equation. But thanks very much! Your P40 got snatched up quick!

    IMAC Pattern - Cadence w/ DA 35

Nice! I see you used a power supply with a battery charger 12.3V @ 5A 20gauge... how did you setup your charger for this? This build process is intriguing!

Love it! I have a H9 P40 with a Saito 82... nitro... I haven't flown it in forever (because of the Nitro thing), but since a P40 is my favorite fighter on the WWII scene... it's my hangar queen right now.

Haven’t tried slats yet, seems like most people are leaving them off to see how it handles without them first. With the larger tires it coupled to the gear in knife edge. The airframe is floaty, but keep in mind it is a high wing still. I’ve heard it likes flying on its back. It transitions...

17oz tank would be plenty. Lots of variables with weight. Gear, tires, power system, and overall setup. It would be neat to find longer carbon gear to replace the stock aluminum and lighter wing struts if you use them.

Noticed them too. I agree about the weight. Maybe one day, but not now for me!

That always takes forever. If you’re a perfectionist like me, it’s no easy feat ha ha. New radio is fun to toy with for sure Ha ha, no worries. I forget what I read 90% of the time anyways. You answer an equal amount of my questions!!

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

34F is usually my cutoff. There are other factors at play.... wind is a big one. I will fly much lower temps if there is no wind and little humidity. I’ll shorten my flights to about five-six minutes depending on the type of plane... only because my fingers start to hurt and get numb which makes...

91" SkyWing ARS 300 Assembly Thread

Not a bad idea. I’ve been sticking with tygon, just had a wild hair to use the matching blue line that came with the plane. The tygon is thicker too, which might help me here too. I forgot to mention that it was 31F out when I was flying.... hand warmers and a big poofy jacket. Oct was not a...
