I agree, that's an expensive plant stake! But it should "turn out" a very efficient flower!

Hope you don't mind my little crack about the elevator. When you do those high energy snaps I imagine myself in the cockpit and just feel "ouch"! Fun to watch! I liked that 70 but as we discussed if you have a 60" for practice and convenience and a 78 for performance and competing where would...

Also not a bad idea to put a collar on the back of the shaft. I was really lucky the past 5 or so flights. After a pretty bad crash I thought I had checked everything out on my 48" MXS. It made some strange noises after the repair. I assumed it was from the repairs/ damage. While doing...

I'll have pics of StingerZilla when I finish. I can't reproduce the experiment. Noone was filming. Would have been a great clip. 1/2 Cuban turn around 1/2 roll to inverted (tree comes into view and pilot misjudged depth perception) "poof" sound as plane enters tree intact. Fuselage continues on...

And the results after reviewing the video response- EXACTLY! Beautiful airframe for this type of flying, no arguments. Very nice btw ( as usual). Lets just say (and I don't he'd argue) I wouldn't want to be an elevator on Matt's plane! (Ouch!) Lol

+1 You crystallized my thoughts! I don't think that's the first time either. Lol. Not having the good fortune to fly the 35 and 40% I could only guess. But in all fairness Cody we could put a trainer with huge dihedral in the wing in your hands and you'd make it look good. :-)

I metered it at 1500 static. We'll see. It's still a boatload for this light plane. Have to spend some time getting it set up nice. Thanks.

Thanks guys. I'm going to give that Protek 15x7 a whirl. I do have another Xoar 15x8 standing by. I forget the wattage I was pulling on the Xoar but guessing it was in the 1600 range with 65-70 amps.

Matt, enterprise, let me fly his 70" "exp" the other day and I put "exp" in quotes since it seems it is a first gen exp and the others are later, more refined designs. Don't get me wrong, it's a very nice flying plane and would be wonderful for someone flying precision and IMAC. But, coming from...

    60" Extra 300 EXP

What's everyone running for props on the torque motor (stock setup)? I had a 15x8 Xoar and broke it. Going to try 15x7 Protek. Getting 1500 W and 65A out of it on the meter.

Did an unintentional experiment the other day. Hypothesis- an EPO Stinger 64mm fun EDF when flown inverted at approx. 90 mph will successfully penetrate a 25' White Pine tree. Results- NOT:veryshocked::facepalm: However, all pieces retrieved and it may be resurrected as "Stingerzilla" This...

:) My 7 year old daughter has soloed (20 seconds worth!) my Tech One Yak and has adopted my TH Edge which is laden with too much Welders after a good 3D trainer life. We are tip toeing into it to keep her interest.

    60" Extra 300 EXP

Well, I "broke in" my 60" yesterday! Dumb thumbed a low outside snap low after an inside snap without the energy in a pretty good tailwind. However, big however. These airframes impress the hell out of me- thanks Chris n Co. I smacked a 48 MXS pretty good a few weeks ago and very little damage...
