    Yes on fuel proofing. Clear coating is a lot of work but a fun challenge. First coat finish under a microscope will look like a mountain range, wet sand the mountain tops off and second coat fills in the valleys. Repeat with wet sanding only mountain top peaks aren't so prominent the...

    I used Nelson latex paint on my MK Blue Angel. Negligible weight gain. Sealed it with automotive clear coat.

    Latex paint is super light. All the moisture evaporates.

    The backside of this canvas is a problem as I have another fail. The canvas peeled off like Peel ply or something. I might consider getting a different fabric.

    Not good, brass to steel solder joint. I cleaned it up a bit while I think about how to repair.

    The rudder control arm failed (probably soon after it was built) so i decided to finally expose the problem. Thin razor saw and away i went. Not bad actually, it should patch just fine.
