I'd totally get a taller gear, that prop is waaaayy to close to the ground for me and doesn't seem as scale?

I watched it at Joe Nall this spring and when they were taxing in a cross wind the plane was constantly tipping over. Doesn't sound like fun to me LOL.

T Cub is neat, but kindof a monster. A 50-70cc would probably sell like hot cakes.

Is it just me or does the gear seem too small? Nice work getting it airworthy again!

I was cleaning up some 3DPrinted parts last night and the #11 broke while cutting towards me. . . Luckily most of the blade broke off and I only stabbed the meaty spot on my thumb with a tiny remnant of the blade. I immediately cursed at it... thinking I had created a ticket to the hospital...

I understand the struggle! The cruise ships are starting to thin out here and I'll have some flying field time back. Curious to see how the 27x11 prop does, I hope it's not too fast for my approaches. I usually put the plane in a small slip to slow down my steep approach. Guessing I'll switch to...

I've got the box, I'd love to go again if I can swing it. It was a lot of fun and work to get there and back by myself. I still feel guilty having people donate gasoline, but people were kind enough to share. Part of me thinks it would be easier to bring an electric plane, or to pre-order one...

Cut my Joe Nall box(es) so they can fit under the house for… winter. My wing box was too tall anyways, so that one was shortened. The fuselage box I just made a splice in the middle. Termination dust on the mountains so I know it’s time to make room in the shop for other wintery things. Also my...

no need to explain/defend yourself. . .I've been neglecting my model airplanes this summer. Been enjoying watching your tinkering! I have two unfinished models I really need to get the gumption to finish... Been fishing a lot on my new (to me) boat... 60hours on the tach and the final run of...

I'm still working with trying to make my own vector files, what a challenge from scratch! Are you using your devices cutting software, or what process and devices are you using? Looks good! I'm using Xtool's software, but also Learning Inkscape for better image manipulation. Xtool's creative...

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

Joe Lewis (aviator plus GP Engines exclusive dealer) told me back to back flights are never a good idea. I think because of heat soaking the motor/carb. Gotta let it cool down. I do it all the time… just always mindful of the temps, cool down laps, and point the cylinders to the breeze after...

Shouldn't be hard, get a couple 12V fans and a 3S Lipo mounted on a V shaped wood stick that ties to the prop.

Last night I tinkered with my 40W diode laser cutter to see if I could cut ultracote. Took lots of attempts, but I think I found some good settings 34% power/300mm/s / 2 passes. Seems like the cut is decent above 20% but burns after 38% the two passes help with removing the adhesive layer. Now I...

You'll get over it quickly. It's high alpha with flaps down are predictable so you can drag the ends of the floats in the water and then give her a little juice and gently plop it down. It's a great floatplane! If you can lower your approach angle it'll be better. The airfoils on these planes...
