    New Aerobeez 48" Mini Banshee!!

Installing the rudder is easy. Grab 3 CA hinges, mark their center points, then slip them into the fuselage. Slide the rudder over the hinges. Make sure the rudder is lined up properly using the bottom of the fuselage as a guide. Saturate the hinges with thin CA, repeat for both sides of...

    New Aerobeez 48" Mini Banshee!!

Moving onto the horizontal stab an elevator assembly, first we will need to remove this plywood plate. It's there to help factory workers assemble the airplane straight and true as well as keep the airplane rigid enough for shipping. I like to save these because I will more than likely wind...

    New Aerobeez 48" Mini Banshee!!

:banana-dance: More assembly last night, the airplane is pretty much ready for electronics at this point. This flap can be tacked back down if you would like, but I wouldn't recommend gluing the entire seam. Just a couple of drops of medium CA and it will stay firmly in place, yet open right...

    New Aerobeez 48" Mini Banshee!!

Next up we can begin the actual assembly of the airplane. Here is a basic list of adhesives I will be using: -GOOP, for joints that need to be flexible. -BSI Insta Cure +, for filling in joints. -BSI Insta Cure, for saturating joints and hinges. -BSI Insta Set, a kicker that is safe for use...

    New Aerobeez 48" Mini Banshee!!

The very first part of the actual assembly is to punch out some of the excess EPP from the fuselage and cowl (they will punch out by hand easily enough, if you would like you can use a hobby knife to do this process). The excess is there to help factory workers assemble the parts as well as to...

    New Aerobeez 48" Mini Banshee!!

Spent some time laying the parts out last night and doing some initial prepping for assembly. The first thing you always want to do with a new airplane is lay out all of the parts to make sure you have everything. If you find something is missing then please give a call or send an email to...

    New Aerobeez 48" Mini Banshee!!

I've flown the 38" Slick, 48" Extra, and 55" Edge, they all fly phenomenal. Aside from the 38" (it flies like a big foamy), the 48" and 55" fly like much bigger airplanes. The plywood and full airframe design give the airplane more momentum entering maneuvers so they tumble better and recover...

I've found a couple more motors in my supply, each are 35mm and 1400kv so at least I have a few motors to play with :)

    New Aerobeez 48" Mini Banshee!!

Aerobeez has came out with an awesome assortment of newly revamped versions of their EPP Hybrid foamies so when I heard about it, I knew I had to have one. Lo and behold, they had a mini version of their popular 91" Slick 540 'Banshee' (which so happens to be my favorite airplane in my hangar)...

    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

I'll probably have everything bolted in place and ready to go before I even get a chance to take the camera out :oblong::laughing: I would have just tried to repair the cowl and rudder but they have both already been repaired a number of times before and it was just time for some new parts...

Need some advice on a new 30cc 3D plane.

The perfectly straight LE on an Edge wing is an extremely stable design in high alpha. Every edge I've flown just sits there in a harrier so it's the ideal airframe for a beginner. Not sure why you say they're snappy, quite the opposite from my experiences

    Aerobeez 45% Extra 300 assembly

I know :) Speaking of heat guns, did more work on the covering today. She's all nice and tightened up. The turtle deck was the worst, lots of gas bubbles that had to be massaged out with the iron. I am going to polish up the covering using some motorcycle spray cleaner/polish, should...

    Aerobeez 45% Extra 300 assembly

Well, I had a gnarly headache most of the day yesterday. As soon as it started to clear, I was out of bed and went to work on the Extra. First thing I needed to do was fill the hole where the DA200 mufflers poked through, then glue a new sheet of 1/8" ply over the front to help reinforce what is...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

After being in bed all day because I had a raging headache, I finally had enough and went and worked on the Extra in the afternoon. Got a new firewall in and worked on the covering.

    Assembly: EF 110" Yak-54 V2

Definitely could be an issue if the spacing is too close. You would figure this would be taken into account, but maybe it works fine with stock ball links? Knowing you, you probably have a set of DuBro's already lined up, ready to go in.. :sneaky:
