The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

False alarm. Someone installed the turnbuckles on the ailerons improperly (the outboard turnbuckles needed to be installed on the inboard side). Got everything all dialed, just had to dremel the ball links a bit to make them fit. Crisp as a fresh bag of chips, ready for the weekend :D

Sonofagun.... Somehow my Tower order for my new ball links got mis-shipped to a different address so they have to be re-forwarded to the right address. Had them sent to work and was expecting them today, well now they won't be delivered until tomorrow when we will be closed :( So then I picked...

    Assembly: EF 110" Yak-54 V2

Well hey if you need a place to store your 40% airplanes while you figure out your 35% craving then by all means feel free to drop me a line. I'm sure I can manage to find a nice cozy place for them, they'll get proper loving every weekend ;)

    Assembly: EF 110" Yak-54 V2

I'd say take that refund and get yourself another to be sure ;) Worst case scenario they would probably do the same thing again if it winds up being a fluke, but with how many positive reviews there are out there with that engine right now I'd say chances are that one particular was just a...

    Assembly: EF 110" Yak-54 V2

What problem was this? There's probably half a dozen of them down here that all run without a problem, and all of the other guys who use them haven't reported any issues

But what do you think of the ZDZ180? I flew a 40% Pilot 330SC with one last weekend and couldn't believe how crisp and powerful that engine was, yanked that big airplane around like it was light as a feather.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Well it seems to have worked like a charm. I have done that before on smaller airplanes (filling the holes with medium CA) but was not sure if it is an accepted practice with bigger airplanes :oblong: Servos are all tight back in place, ready for the weekend. New spats and DuBro ball links...

Never seen the 123 with the blue hub. Must be something new they're doing?

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I think I'll saturate the whole thing with thin CA to harden it all up (this wasn't done in the first place) and then drip Medium CA down in the holes to hopefully seal the hole up, then re-drill. Thanks guys :)

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I'm with you there, I do prefer to use those screws instead of the stock phillips head ones. The builder of the airplane felt the same way so that's what's on everything already :) Medium CA should fix the problem good enough then eh? I have new Dubro Ball Links coming in the mail as well...

If you have a hand pump then just tell your buddy to come take a look at the pump cause you think it's leaking air bubbles when you crank it (have him crank it the whole time to check) ;):D

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Question for the masses... I had to remove my wing and elevator servos from my 107" Yak (there are 6 total servos) to do some maintenance to the servos and to the mounting rails for each of them. What do you guys do when it comes to the mounting holes being nearly stripped out? I don't know if...

    Official Aerobeez Support Thread

I personally would go with the DLE60 if you plan on advancing up into 3D flying. The 111 is going to have gnarly power and will require careful throttle management to keep from tearing the airplane apart in more aggressive 3D maneuvers but you should indeed be fine with most other flying...

    3drcforums visits aerobeez hq's

They've been slapping carbon everywhere on these airframes, there is even carbon inside of the wings and stabs to strengthen and reinforce everything (and I'm not talking about the stab and wing tubes ;) ). Aerobeez has really stepped it up big time and went all out with these airplanes and it...
