Aerobeez 70″ Slick PRO Step By Step Build Guide

On anything this large, I always solder the ESC and motor together, no bullet connectors. I remember a couple buddies of mine from the beginning days of giant scale electrics doing testing on bullet connectors vs directly soldering and they found decreased performance and efficiency when using...

120* of throw is standard for all Hitec digital servos. If you are not experiencing that amount of control throw then it may be an issue with your setup. If you program them to normal mode rather than high resolution mode you will see lots of jumping in the control movement due to it tuning the...

Straightened out the aileron last night with the assistance of my new dremel (stupid airplanes making me buy more tools......... :oblong::D ). Now onto the rudder. Not pictured is the strips of CF I glued inside of the TE to strengthen that section. She is super strong. Cowl (lurking in the...

Spent a decent amount of time repairing the elevator last night. Only had 30 minute epoxy to glue with, so it came out pretty strong. Re-enforced it with some scrap CF rod I had hanging around the shop.

Yeah but it wasn't through fault of my own, it was out of human control. I started on the elevator last night, she's back to about 90%, need to pick up some more glues and materials today to finish it up. Will start on the aileron today as well.

Got to put the 35% Yak under the knife today. Had a little incident this past weekend and now have a damaged elevator counterbalance, crumpled aileron tip, and cracked rudder. Cowl got a little runway rash and broke the ring, but our runway is a geotextile material so some buffing compound had...

There could also be lots of variables. But keep in mind, with 2" 3D arms you're only looking at about 150oz of torque output, maybe less. Lots of variables. I've never had blowback on mine, even high speed rollers.

Got the Yak out and assessed the damage last night, will be starting to repair it today hopefully.

We can't give out proprietary test data. Like I said, 2 7955's is more than adequate on the ailerons of a 35%. You'd need 3 of them on a 40%.
