    That's a tiny airplane. I can't imagine it would be terribly difficult to build it. Most modern kits come cut out so that everything is basically plug and play, meaning you literally build a jigsaw puzzle and glue it together.

    Temperatures: The motor I measured to be at a peak of about 145 *F before I added a baffle. Never saw it much higher than about 135*F after that, and that's doing a lot of high alpha shenanigans.     Very nice cowl install! Regarding covering: Not much can be done about the covering once it leaves the factory. It's one of those things that is affected by weather of any kind, and these things do get to us by sea. Lots of weather changes out there that can cause all kinds of whack covering...

    I think Home Depot had some that were something like 25" long. But I just got a standard 16" bracket and fitted a piece of PVC pipe over it, cut a slot along the bottom of the pipe and shoved it on. It's definitely sturdy enough.
