    Why do you use HV and / or why don't you?

    Not with a Class ABC. You need a Class D. Sand works better. They do not burn long at all either. It can happen, but it's becoming increasingly rare nowadays.

    No. C rating is 1x the capacity of the pack. So for a 500mah pack, 1C is 0.5 amps. There are 1000mah in 1 amp, because a milli is 1/1000. A pack with a 30C discharge is 30x the capacity of the pack, so for a 500mah pack, that's 15 amps. Or for a 5000mah pack, that's 150 amps.

    It has been well documented by Futaba's following that the 6014 receiver can handle the direct 2s 8.4v power from your packs. I have several friends at my local club that run 8.4v through them with no issues to speak of.

    Sounds like it may be a defective servo then. Could you get a video of what the servo is doing? Also, how are your linkages setup? Which holes do you have them in on the servo and the control horn?

    Maybe I'm lucky, my stock pack lasts me at least a dozen flights and still shows 65% in it. But I'll be switching to lipo, especially since Chad has one that fits!!

    I have heard nothing but praise from it. And the Pilot, and the Extreme Flight. Makes choosing an airframe a difficult decision!! Maybe I should just get all 3 :banana-dance:

    Simple reasons: 1. I have never had any sign of a legitimate reason to not trust a LiPo. 2. Get the most power out of the servo. 3. Less stuff between battery and servos.

    The stock 3D airplanes suck. I have a Yak 54 100CC me and Terry modified and I put a GSN custom scheme on it that flies just awesome. @Bartman has the files he can send to you :)

    This could be true.... If he's going to use 5645's then I'd use something like a Castle BEC pro and adjust the voltage to 7.5v. Saves weight still.

    Just my $0.02, but a fartfly system isn't needed with modern electronics. Especially in a 50cc, you want to save as much weight as you can. Just plug the 2s lipo voltage directly into the rx and then to your servos.
