110" TIMBER Assembly Thread
My timber wing has been repaired for quite some time now... Been waiting to get some time and install the LE devices, but too many other irons in the fire at the moment. Speaking of irons, that 110" wing takes a long time to iron the wrinkles out!!! Lots of real-estate to work with.- AKNick

Feeling like I have officially become the "go-to" guy for my neighbor and his son. Charging their rc truck batteries, fixing their connectors, and providing them with battery wisdom. LOL I was surprised to see that he was using a LiOn 2S battery in place of a LiPo. Charging the little 1500-1800...- AKNick

It's nice to figure these things out for a piece of mind. This is the reason I've turned away from deans all together. Dial in about 20-23% down elevator to flap mix. I'm a die hard for throttle/airspeed management over mixing, but with these barn door flaps, it cuts your down elevator input workload down immensely, but yet still requires input depending on other factors (ie: speed, throttle, AOA). Nice! Couple things to think about. You should use Silicon fuel tubing, not tygon. Tygon does not stretch and defeats the purpose. I dont see any barbs, not sure what's keeping the tubing on? Your tail spring appears more compressed than mine. The tail wheel bracket bolt is basically strait...- AKNick

Video!! My maiden video didn't record, so this is maybe the fourth flight with the DA35. It'll do just about everything you throw at it. I really need to play with the rates/expo as I am chasing my rudder inputs. I was just starting to do that when the Black Bear interrupted me.- AKNick

You need tighter springs. The best steering response and deflections I had was with my 2" tailwheel bracket design. I should dig that one up and post it - It just didn't work for the beaches I was flying off of. I learned that a loose spring will null your control inputs. My current design...- AKNick
