Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 30cc ARF

I like the idea of the vvrc 40cc twin, hard to beat a da-35 as well... of course these are the higher priced engines. The twin would be easier on vibration with the supplied CA hinges.... just sayin. The vvrc 40 would be my choice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 30cc ARF

Hard to not like the ultra stick... hmmm Double beveled hinges, 30cc, 1:5 floats, not to mention the skis, sounds like a fun fly plane to me!! I'm tempted believe me!

The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

ha ha ha my personal cutoff is 33* that's enough time to play in the sky for a 5 min fix. Many variables though.... wind is a big factor. I had a flying buddy try and break his record of -3* but only got to +2* he flies a Tower 60 with a nitro .70 FS, uses a generator hooked up to a hairdryer to...

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I had the same issue with my mojo 40. Added lift struts on the lower section of the horizontal. Never thought of sheeting the stabs to cure that. But the struts solved the twist I was getting during a roll Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Finally flew my 71" slick after the new horizontal/elevators, and the additional servo! Flew great!! A bit tail heavy... sure spins the tail around! Overall I am pleased with what feels like more tail authority and integrity. Had to fly between snow flakes today... dark.... gloomy... it must be...

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

Way cool. Are your wing tip bows just sheet balsa laminated? Curious how you formed them and what they are made of. I've heard of guys soaking balsa sheet in windex (ammonia) prior to forming. Whoops found this! EDIT: Tip bow was laminated out of 5 layers of 1/2 x 1/16 balsa and glued up with...

    VVRC 40cc Twin

Just saw that the VVRC 40cc Twin V2 is arriving Dec 1st. I guess the changes are that the MFGR is different for the crank shaft and cylinders, shortened the prop hub to accommodate more war bird models, spark plugs now are angled down, lightened up the components as well. Good Mods, curious to...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Finished installing my new elevator control horns I fabricated from 0.060" FR4 epoxy/glass laminate phenolic sheet I ordered from ePlastics - they are based out of Cali. This is a little thicker than the 1.5mm size sheet a lot of control horns are made of, but fit pretty well. This is a much...
