The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Looks good but I hate to say that’s prolly not gonna be strong enough. .177 is around 3/16 which is good up to around a 20cc. On my 50cc I used 1/4” aluminum bar stock and even that will splay out on rough landings.

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

Nope yard is plenty big. I have flown 20cc profiles out there just wasn’t paying attention to how close I was to one spot and it grabbed me. Easy fix though. A little of glue and it’s all one piece again.

Took my twisted hobbies Velocity out in the yard for a couple of flights. Caught the wing tip in the tall weeds and sucked it in for a cartwheel. Ripped the motor off the front as well. No biggie though as it will be ready again in no time. Hit hard enough to seperate the case on the RX as well.

Sport Bud Nosen (!!!) 1/4 Scale Citabria Build! Woo hoo!

Yeah I'm seeing now on the box that is says around 10 pounds flying weight which pretty good for a plane that size. I'm thinking take some weight out and a nice 20cc would pull it around really well.

I guess Bart how wide is the fuse at F1? Will give us an idea of wether or not the 40 twin would even fit.

Yeah if I build one it will either get a dle35 or VVRC 40 twin. My twin I currently have just runs so freaking smooth.

Last few orders I have placed have come from SIG and it’s where I will continue to order from. I’m actually able to get my local hobby shop to order it for me and it’s still cheaper in the end than ordering from National or balsa usa. I have never ordered from BUSA before but have ordered from...
