The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I need to do this to my sukhoi. Down thrust is fine but it as well has a strong pull to the left in an upline. I did a rudder to throttle mix but to get it to go away I have I think almost 15% rudder input at full throttle which I feel is a bit excessive.

Started covering another slab. Normally I use the cheap hobbyking or value hobbies covering and really enjoy using it but was provided some Monokote with this. Normally I have not been a fan of monokote but I'm starting to get the hang of it and enjoying it. Biggest thing I'm liking especially...

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

Took the 75" extra out for a spin today. Had an issue with an aileron extension giving me trouble. Got that worked out and put the plane back together and into the air. Got very lucky. Forgot to put the wing bolt back in. Noticed a gap between the wing and fuse so I quickly put it back on the...

i have gone away from those straps other than the few I still have. I have instead picked up a box of the double sided Velcro from Lowes and have been very happy with it.

Thanks Don. I'm not sure what yellow it is. It's what ever 3DHS uses.

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

Post maiden pics from taking the 75" Extra out yesterday evening. The VVRC 40cc twin ran awesome and makes good power for this airframe but as I expected it does not want to hand start. Had to use the electric starter. Since I don't have a spinner on it I had the starter slip off and hit the...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

I plan to try out that fuel tubing trick for the tail wheel steering at some point. I got lucky on my PAU Sukhoi and got the springs setup perfect on my first try but whenever they give up the ghost it will be converted to the fuel tubing trick.

Post your servo, receiver, and battery setups

In the 3DHS 75" extra I just got it came with a pair of Pulse 2550mah 2S lipos. I'm not running high voltage servos so I'm swapping out to a pair of 1600mah 2S LiFe packs and I'm sure it will be more than enough. In my big PAU Sukhoi im running 2 2500mah life packs and at the end of a flying day...
