    Working on covering the fuse. Couldn't figure out s way to do the swoops using the glass method so I'm just gonna have to lay down all the green and then lay the orange graphics over it. so you can see I have everything but the turtle deck covered.     Flite test planes are stupid easy to build and they do their best to make sure anybody can do it. Now for me I'm sitting here covering the fuse of this edge 540. Still feels wierd covering a fattie. I have gotten used to doing profiles and being able to get one covered in 3-4 hours whereas...

    Never seen that book. I know others have done it and it was actually me seeing pictures of Colton Clark doing it on a profile he built that convinced me to try it. One of the old probros that passed away a couple years ago did a video of it as well but I can't find it. Now that I think about it...

    You won't be disappointed. It seemed intimidating to me before trying it but it's actually super simple. I know you like ultracote. When I did your plane it took a lot more heat when going back over it to get it to seal the seams really well.

    It works for me and makes it easy to do more complicated schemes over open structure.

    Might be kinda hard to see but I have laid a piece of fiberglass cloth down along the seam of the cowl to create the lip. I will let it set until tonight before playing with it anymore. So while I wait it's back to covering. Forgot I still had one more stab and elevator to cover so I figured now...

    I hand cut some lettering for the wing. Also got the cowl all prepped so tonight I will be laying in some fiberglass cloth as a lip to support where I split the cowl. Big thanks to @Terryscustom for the thread he did on splitting cowl and answering my numerous emails and texts the other day...

    That might be it there. My carden cap doesn't really 3D so it more or less just gets flown around. Does do nice poptops though.
