I bought this T-33 new about 4 years ago. I installed all the gear and had it ready to fly. I took it to the field a few times with something that prevented me from flying it. I got discouraged and set it on the shelf waiting for someone to lend a second set of eyes and hands to go through the plane. I had a buddy staying with me with weekend and after doing some shop cleaning he jokingly said lets work on the T-33. I pulled it off the shelf and moved into my living room as the shop was to full. I found that I had somehow lost all my programming and had a couple small things to fix. We were able to reprogram the radio, fix a couple issues, balance the plane and cycle the batteries. Took it outside for a taxi test and found a fuel leak. The tanks were good and the fuel was puddling under the motor. We replaced the lines and still had a leak. Actually swapped the motor with my back up and still had an issue. The leak was tracked down to a bad fuel shut off valve. We bypassed the valve and taxied for about 20 minutes. Checking all systems and doing motor runs. Should be good to go now. This has given me the bug to get some stuff done in the shop.
