150cc Extra canister install

Has anyone put a DLE-170 with canisters in the PAU 150cc Extra? The DLE headers are a 70mm drop I believe. A DA install requires 90mm drop, but not sure if the cylinder spacing is the same.

As far as I know, DLE'e dimensions are close to DA, and should require 90mm Drop.

That's no bueno. I don't know that 90mm drop headers for a DLE-170 are available. :upset:

Just as a follow-up to this thread, the DLE-170 flex headers that come in the canister setup work fine on this plane.

Nothing special, I just cut the bottom of the cowl as shown in the manual... basically a fairly large half-circle opening at the very bottom of the cowl.  For the outlets, I simply opened up the pre-cut holes.  I didn't do any other venting, I think enough air is flowing through the tunnel to keep things cool.  I did use thin light ply to close up the can tunnel to cut down the heat in the fuse.

Wasn't done wiring in these pics but you can see the sheeting.
