I don't think I'm cool enough for Nall.

Heck if coolness was a requirement they would never let me in the gate, hell my kids remind me daily, just how uncool I am. GSN said I was a cool guy ( notice screen name) but I think that's just so I'll hang over here.

Everyone is equal at the Nall. That's one of the big reasons why it's so much fun and you have to attend.

I've heard the exact opposite. Several people told me "Don't expect to fly, especially at the 3D line, unless you're a team pilot". Many people have told me that it's quite intimidating. Not sure about the level of truth, but it's making me think twice about taking the 14 hour trip.

With 578 pilots on the Main (classic) flight line and 314 pilots on the 3D line. The regular Joe way out numbers the team pilots. I get intimidated flying race track pattern on the main line, But that should not keep anyone from attending the Nall. The best part of the event is the people and the activity. It is something you just have to see to believe.

Nall is awesome! If you have never been, GO! Leave right now, so that you can be first one at the gate! They may even let you in early.

I venture up to the classic line atleast 2x a day, when I go there. There is so much going on, it is really hard to take it all in in a single day.

Oh yeah... That was the 3D pond in 2012.

I'm looking forward to my 5th Nall and @thelaw is ready for her 4th! I'm hoping that one way or another I will have one of my own planes there for the first time ever.

Truth is, fly or no fly the Nall is very much worth the trip. We can't take the time and have to fly down every year so we go with no planes and will keep doing so. It's a blast!!!!!!

It's nothing like that, you wanna fly, come early the first weekend, Sat., Sun, Mon. depending on weather, there is hardly any wait. Tue. things start to pick up, some wait on flight lines, Wed. it's full on chaos, long wait times to fly. Yes it's intimidating, hell QQ is in the next flight station, and I'm trying to make my circle flying look good, sweating bullets, bout to pass out cause I forget to breath, not to mention the 300 or 400 spectators watching(that's just Tue., wed. that spectator # turns up, intimidating, yeah just a little. 3D line is no different, and as far I understand team pilots have to wait in line with the rest of us common folk. Yes you will see team pilots flying a lot, burning fuel, they are there to promote there product. Fall in there with them, 3D line has some of the most friendly, welcoming folks I've ever meet

A lot of flying fields can be intimidating, it's something you get over in time. The Nall is definitely a place that can be intimidating, but everyone there knows that and helps you with it. The guy behind you in line to fly knows what you are feeling, and will help to make you comfortable. That's what Pat wanted the place to be like, and it's our responsibility to do just that. Make everyone feel at home.

14 was my first year. I was there from Saturday to Saturday. I was camped out on the main line and flew there also. Like @ChickenBalls stated, the best time to get some flying in with the least amount of wait time is Saturday through Tuesday. Also, if you are like me you enjoy flying around dusk and things settle down quite a bit on the main line the last hour or so before sunset. After dark I would head down to the 3D line and watch the craziness set in! If you are planning on getting good sleep while you are there, it will only happen after you are flat wore out from trying to take everything in. My daughter went with me and she was already trying to plan the trip for 2015 before we left! I am hoping to make it, but she graduates on the Friday at the end of Nall, so I am not sure I will be there this year If I can sneak down, a 14 hour drive for me also, I will go and just enjoy everything that is there for a few days and then head back home. IT IS WORTH IT!!!

Well I just put in my vacation for this years Nall. Except Mark D., Eddie, Scott and the rest of the Triple Tree crew put the idea in my Father, and my head to come down a week early and help set up. So what the hell why not give back. After helping out at the full scale fly-in last year why not help at Nall. This will be my 5th Nall and we drive down from Rochester ,NY it well worth the mileage. For those who think they won't get time to fly due to the crowd, trust me the lines go fast and like other said Sat,Sun,and Monday it not bad. See you all at Nall 2015.

Your first day or two just take it all in and wait until 5:00 to fly. The numbers drop big time for pilots and spectators as folks are either cooking or cleaning up to go to dinner and the communication on the flight line will be just like you are flying at home.
Around 6:30 some of the team guys come back to play with each other's planes or do some trim flights and you will blend right in.
