Most likely a Motrolfly 3615/750kv, HS5085MGs all around, probably a ZTW 70A ESC that I already own. 4s 3000mAh batteries. APC 14x7. Should be pretty sweet, I think!

I my battery box I have some 4s 3000mAh and some 4s 2200mAh. The 2200 will probably make the plane fly really nice, but only for something like 4 minutes. The question is: Would the 3000mAh batteries turn it into a brick or will it be OK, given that I have a Motrolfly 3615 powerhouse in the nose?

I have my timer set at 6:30 with 2200mAh (260g) in the Slick and that's using the Firepower motor which isn't as efficient as the DM-3615. To prevent taking the battery below 3.7v per cell I do need to be on the ground at 6.:30 so I'm thinking about landing after I get the 1 minute to go 'pip' on the DX8. If you hammer it the whole flight you might need a shorter timer but I dont think you would ever be down at 4 minutes. 2600mAh (300g) give me about a minute extra and to be honest the added weight doesn't seem to have any negative effect, in fact it makes balancing easier without the need to stick the battery way up in the motor box.

Looks like my 3000mAh packs weigh 313g. I hate having to put the batteries in the motor box, so maybe I'll give them a try.
