Went ahead and ordered one of these with a SunnySky 2820/920 over the weekend. Can't wait until it arrives!
That motor and a 14x7 or 14x6 will be great on 3s!

Just about to place my order on one of these. A quick question. Ive read about many planes in making this decision, and a lot of them always had that one particular quirk, something that could possibly bite you in the arse if you werent careful. Ive yet to find that with this model. So, I ask, is there this quirk with this model? Some break in a key spot that should be strengthened, others tend to snap one way or the other better/worse, some drop a wing in high alpha unexpectedly. Things like that. This is my first electric experience, and Im just starting in the 3D world, so I picked this model due to it looking very forgiving and capable. Any thoughts are welcomed, and yes, Iplan to go through this thread now that Ive found it.
Andy I can honestly say this plane does not have any bad habits like what you described above. It inspires confidence from the first trim flight. It is the perfect learning platform! One thing about 3dhs... they do a really good job on product testing prior to production. The kinks are pretty well worked out. Scott Stoops has the recipe for 3d airplane design down really well.
where is the installation manual for this bird?
