48" Edge 540 Building, Flying, and Questions

I am way okay about the blue plane, I have two of em. However when you add the yellow/gold all bets are off, I can't bring myself to fly a Michigan Helmet. Good looking graphics though, well done.

Never thought of it like that. HA! I am an ASU Alumn so I bleed Maroon and Gold. That other AZ school is Red, White, and Blue but I cannot hate on our nations colors even if that school took them. Hehe.

As an OSU fan we are very sensitive to that Maze and Blue you know Kidding aside my flying buddy Capt. Roll has the blue 540 and it is an impressive flying plane for sure.

I got two flights on mine today and zero good landings... arg. I gotta lose the wheel pants. Thanks to Wamsy for the harrier tips I got from him This plane has been the most problematic for me for wing rock. They are still a work in process but much better. My plane is so mis-shapen from extensive repairs it is a wonder I can fly it straight let alone harrier it!

Had a close call today. This is why I like the wire gear on this plane. Lost rudder coming in and she wanted to keep turning left. I circled around and plopped her down. No damage!! Bent the gear back and she is good to go. I had just tightened th pull pull up after a fuse repair and apparently didn't crank down one of the set screws. Rookie mistake but i got lucky.

I picked one of these up in July and am just about to maiden it....really can't wait! It's my first balsa 3D plane (I have other balsa's but those are just sport and warbirds). I've been practicing on sim, GP Silhouette, and my favorite...the McFoamy XL from West Michigan Park Fliers. I should be able to get it up by the end of the month, after all this time. I've read nothing but good things about this plane, I just hope I don't damage it too bad in the first few flights while I get used to it.


My set up is: Omega 130g, ZTW 60A ESC, Hitec HS-65MG's all around.
