I use a belt sander and a round file and a half round file. Then sand the edge with some emery cloth. I make a template from poster board to fit around the prop I'm using then Transfer the cutout from the template to the spinner. I get close with the belt sander and finish it off with the files.

The balancer was bought from G-Pete on RCU. Don't know if he still messes with building them. Look up Wylie Warbirds. He would know if they are still available

This may help.

Nice job!
2 things/
what grinding device do you use for fitting your spinners and who made the balancer?
I don't ever remember seeing a cut that perfect on a aluminum spinner.
No doubt that is one awesome looking bird you have there.
Enjoy the maiden!

Don't want to step on Toms toes here with a balancer. But a friend of mine makes a balancer similar to the PSP, I think it is. Sells them for much less than a PSP.

Wish I had seen the post earlier, as I was at home on a check up and could have taken a couple of pics of it. But I will be back up there later this week for a grass cutting and will snag a couple of pics then, if interested?? PM me for name in info. I will check and see if he has any made up in advance and if he will ship too.

No problem Bunky. Your not stepping on my toes. Info is info. I didn't know about them myself... Post some pictures and info when you can.

Finally able to get back up to the house and snap a couple of quick shots of this balancer. It is well built, and uses carriage bolts and wing nuts for attachment.

It is fully adjustable for any size fuselage width.

I dont know what he sells them for, as Im a friend, and you know.... The buddy discount. ;)

Enjoy!

I'm back from Nall. AJ brought me a canopy and I mounted it. I also put 2 4-40 screws in there to help hold the canopy. Have the plane fixed up and ready to go again. Had transmitter issues so I put my Spectrum in there. I'll have it up in the air before the week is up. :)

Can I ask you what size the ball links are in the kit? I still need to order horns for my 7955's and I was going to get the 4-40's but am going to hold off. I'd rather not have to replace the links if possible. Thanks in advance...Jake
