A couple of questions on servos

FYI Futaba servos use a 3 x 8mm in case you want to order some for your Futaba servos. The first thing that I do is remove the Phillips head screw and replace it with the hex head cap screw. I also use a Star washer under the cap screw.

Hitec uses the following screws for our standard size metal geared servos:

5xxx/7xxx: 2.6x8mm
8xxx/9xxx: 3.0x8mm

I guess there is always mcmasters for good price and typical freaky fast delivery. Better than going to the Hillman fastener rack at the hardware store and leaving the store covering your ass cuz it hurts with the .25 or more price per each screw!!

I did some searching, and Extreme Flight sells 2.6mm for older hitecs, before they switched to futaba style. I have a bunch of RTL fasteners, but I couldn't find any 2.6mm there.

One other question: Any of you know a source of those servo arm stand offs that come with ball link ends? (Called "spacers" by du-bro)? Cost over a $1 each when you buy the ball ends...

A good idea for a company like seacraft to make these I think. May not sell enough though.
