Airplane Cradles in the Shop, What works, what doesn't?

What, you live in a Holiday Inn or something? Always thinking up cool stuff or mods. And he will probably have pics of it finished this afternoon!

We are not running that CNC today otherwise I would. Have to wait till Monday.

The EF Extra is sitting on a "Keyboard Stand" that I got at Best Buy for $24... you can adjust it and flip the plane over also, and it will fit before the turtledeck so no dents. I can get more pics if you would like.

You can also get these used on Craigslist or Music-go-round if you have them.

Any suggestions on how to keep the airplane on the stand? Most stands have supports on the sides of the fuselage to keep the airplane from falling off if you have to get aggressive with something

I have never gotten that aggressive. But since the planes are 50-100cc that need a stand like this they have enough weight to keep them on there.

I forgot to mention too that this thing folds flat to get out of the way when not in use!

Prototype of the prototype mocked up. Found a few things I want to do different and have a design for a CNC cut tail holder. I'll do the first full test on Monday and ultimately the entire thing will go together without tools and come apart for storage. It will also have casters.

I'm going to narrow the base so that the parts all combined should fit in a 24 x 36 x 6" box or so. It will be heavy though so not sure what shipping will be. I know I have a couple of friends that will want one that I would have to ship to.
