Well Fellas,
For all the years I've been a part of this AWESOME website, I have never had a Giant Scale plane that is close to being ready to fly. That all changed today when my flying Buddy showed up at the flying field this morning with this in the back of his truck.
You could have knocked me over with a feather when my Buddy said "it's yours". . . . . . Needless to say, I have been on Cloud 9 all day. . . . . . The plane has a DA-50 in it which is WAY TOO MUCH engine for it. He also gave me a 22x8 and a 22x10 Mejzlik prop for it. All it needs is a receiver and batteries. While I have a receiver and the batteries will be here by next weekend, I will not fly it until I get some more stick time on something else since I have not done much flying this year. My Buddy bought the plane the first year Hangar 9 came out with it, but I doubt the plane has flown two dozen times. The Ultracote is starting to show its age so a "Strip & Recover" thread may be in store for next Spring, but for now, I am just going to fly the pants off of it. . . . . .
