It's from 1996
Brainerd Products out of Saint Louis.

One of the best tools I ever bought.

$21.95 at the time.

Priceless

I was looking at my engine today wondering about how I could accurately check thrust

Yes, it's to check right thrust, and it's the bomb!
I'm surprised no one picked up the rights to the thing.
The company is nowhere to be found now.
Shame...

could you post the design pics, close up pics etc, so that community could DIY, if they want to (within IPR restrictions of course) That's one cool tool

Just got back off the road from a work road trip.
I'll try to get some pictures today.

It has a triangular fork of sorts that sits on the prop shaft.
It then attaches to the plane by securing that fork over the prop shaft with the
prop washer and nut.

Take care
Bob

I've attached the instructions and illustration.
If any part of it isn't clear, maybe I can clarify.

Looks simple and extremely easy to use! KISS principle at its finest.

I assume most, if not all, GS aircraft firewalls are built at zero, and the desired thrust setting made in the engine mount.
