nestled along side the El Camino Real De Los Tejas, which is a National Historic Trail, and the three 17th century Spanish Mission sites is the Apache pass air park in Downtown TX
we have the perfect venue right in the middle of the United States. while the rest of the nation is freezing we are still nice and mild here in the south, not too cold not too hot its just right. if you need a break from the cold take the drive to Downtown Texas believe me when its over you'll be glad you did
on site we have a 3000 ft grass runway, full hookup(water/sewer/electric) for 47 rv's with an additional 24 if needed, showers and restrooms and the Apache pass icehouse. they serve ice cold beer and good food. its a great dining experience right at the field.
we will be splitting the field the main flight line is for fixed wing and in back to back fashion will be the heli line. we are currently finalizing the details for the FPV line. we want everybody to participate sport flying, warbirds EVERYBODY IS INVITED general flying and 3d will be structured hour on hour off
the city of Rockdale http://www.rockdalechamber.com/ is a short 10 minute drive away. there you will find hotels and resteraunts and just about anything else you might have forgotten at home.
RV hookup is 10 dollars a night(self contained rv is welcome on the main flightline no additional chrge) we have a little surprise we are working on and it rhymes with HAWAIIAN CHICKEN DINNER. we are currently working on registration on RC FLIGHT DECK
