Butt kickin' set up

I like 'em "BIG"!
Recently I was in the market for a completely BAD ASS setup for my H-9 3.1 meter Sukhoi. I had looked at 3W, DA and even purchased a DA170 for this ride. I had considered a DLE 170 and the 222. But I wanted something "REALLY" full on bad to the bone. After contacting Dave Sullivan many months ago regarding the GP Evo 176, I once again contacted him and he set me up with one of the best motors I have ever run. The Evo 176 coupled to Dave's Smooth Pipes provided "EXACTLY" what I was looking and hoping for. The Sukhoi came in at 42 pounds all up weight minus fuel. I'd heard rumors of how amazing the plane is, but had no idea what to expect in all reality. I could go on and on, but I will let the maiden of this beastly setup speak for itself. Thanks again Dave. I can pretty much guarantee I will be looking to GP and Planebender for my next setup on my next bad ass plane.

I have a GP176 EVO in my Sukhoi with Proflows and am amazed at the performance every time I fly it. I can't even imagine what it would be like on Smoothpipes!! I also have a GP123 v2 in a Hangar9 extra 300 with stock mufflers and it is just as impressive. I was a diehard DA fanboy as are most IMAC guys but I will only buy GP's from now on. Not bashing DA at all! I have huge respect for Dave, Tony and the rest of the gang at DA. I appreciate all they have done the sport.

Dang it, now you have my wanting smooth pipes on my 176. I sold my EVO in my old Wild Hare, so now I have the standard 176 in my PAU. Really love the engine.....nice and smooooooth. It could use a little kick in the pants though with some pipes, the PAU is a big plane but it's under 40#.

Hi Guys, I just finished a PAU 43% Edge 540 for a dear friend Lenny Jantz. It came in at 43 lbs with the GP-176EVO and smooth pipes, Smoke and I did a full interior kit for him. On the maiden flight we could easily see that the Biella 32X10 prop was going to be way too light. It was riping it at 1/3 throttle. The vertical was like a foamy and the plane is awesome to fly.
